JFK's Travel

Yesterday, the topic for Exploring America is traveled to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library which gave me a very impressive experience. When I arrived the US 5 days later, my friends and I came the subway station called JFK to looking for the beach and sea, unfortunately, we missed the JFK library and museum because we didn’t know how far and how get there. Probably god gave me another chance; I can visit the library with Red Sox.

While got off, I saw a huge white building with blue sunny sky like in a fairy tale. The building is made by geometric assemble like cylinder column and triangular pyramid, also, a part of the building made by the black glass curtain wall. With the blue sky and the white cloud, what the perfect assemble! And the most exciting information is the architect is I.M Pei. He is one of the most famous designers in current world, and is my idol when I was young so that I choose architecture as my major.

The JFK Presidential Library and Museum in general introduce the whole life of the John F. Kennedy who was the 35th president and one of the most popular presidents in the United States. And after interested in the special building, I’m curious about the death of JFK and his wife. For the death, he died by gun shot. The killer called Lee Harvey Oswald, a librarian who gunned shot by others after arrest. Someone doubted that the real killer is the vice-president Johnson. Till now, the truth of JFK’s death is a mystery. For his wife, Jacqueline, Kennedy who was a very beautiful modest woman, she had three times marriage because her wisdom and good personality. In my opinion, she is one of the most beautiful and wise first ladies in the American history.
